Our Vision is to inspire local area youth to have a life-long dedication to and love of sailing

All of us at GHYC Junior Sail want you to know that our primary goal is SAFETY for your child as well as our staff. Throughout the spring and into the summer, our Executive Board has been meeting regularly to map out a way forward for our programs. As the situation evolves, we have been consistently monitoring and adjusting our programs for Summer 2020.

Under the Governor’s “Plan to Reopen Washington State” we are allowed to open during Phase 2 with modified programming. We are monitory the “Plan” and making arrangements to do what is necessary to open our camps. We are following the Governor’s guidelines and safety recommendations created for summer camps by state and national organizations. We are implement safety and health recommended measures to the best of our ability. There a numerous safety and health procedures we have put in place for all campers attending our camp starting before they show up and daily during camp. A few of the procedures include

  • Daily Health check and questionnaire
  • Reduce Camp size to 5
  • Single handed boats only
  • Masks required when not on the water.
  • Boats sanitation procedures
  • Hand sanitizer readily available
And many more. If you ave any concerns please contact us for more detail.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as GHYC Junior Sail works hard to keep youth safely back on the water.
